L2 Gigabit Etherenet Access Switch ECS4100-12PH je osazen 8x 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 PoE porty, 2x Combo porty a dvěma 1G SFP  uplink porty, s podporou 100M a 1Gb SFP transceiverů. 

ECS4100-12PH patří do série L2 Gigabit Ethernet přepínačů ECS4100 firmy Edge-Core. Ta je určená především pro malé a střední (SOHO / SMB) počítačové sítě nebo kamerové systémy. Jednoduchou konfiguraci a správu přepínačů zajišťuje webové rozhraní, k dispozici je také Telnet a SNMP management a nově i přes sériovou konzoli. Správa jednotky je možná na IPv4 i na IPv6.

Model ECS4100-12PH má oproti switchi ECS4100-12T navíc podporu PoE+ na všech osmi metalických portech a navíc na třech z nich Ultra PoE.

Přepínače řady ECS4100 nabízí podporu virtálních sítí VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q, až 4 tisíce aktivních VLAN) a agregaci linek (IEE 802.3ad). Spanning Tree protokoly STP / RSTP / MSTP zabraňují vzniku smyček v Ethernet síti, umožňují tak vytvářet redundantní kruhové topologie. Přepínač je vhodný nejen pro přenost dat, ale díky podpoře funkcí QoS a IGMP Snooping také pro přenos hlasu (VoIP) a videa (multicast, IP-TV, VoD). K dispozici je 8 HW prioritních front pro zajištění kvality služeb (QoS). Klasifikace dat je možná podle standardu IEE 802.1p a DSCP. Z pohledu bezpečnosti přepínač nabízí autentizaci uživatelů na základě MAC adresy, webovou autentizaci a také Port-based a MAC- based autentizaci dle IEE 802.1X (RADIUS).
