Centrální GPON jednotka U9016B je navržena pro univerzální umístění s DC nebo AC zdrojem. Kompaktní velikost 2U typu form factor umožňuje snadní čelní přístup. Jednotka obsahuje přepínací modul (SCU), napájecí modul (PSU) a 2 PON sloty pro moduly PIU s osmi 2.5GPON porty (PON Interface Unit). SCU modul U9016B poskytuje 4 porty 1000Base-X (SFP) a 2 porty pro 10GBase-R (SFP+) sám pro uplink. Napájecí zdroje jsou vyměnitelné za provozu bez ohledu na na typ napájení.
